Mauricio Macri took control of Silvia Lospennato's campaign in the city: "We're going to win again."

Mauricio Macri has fully immersed himself in the campaign ofSilvia Lospennato , a national representative and the first female candidate for Buenos Aires legislator for the PRO party, ahead of the upcoming legislative elections . In a video posted online, he is seen walking through different neighborhoods of the city with Lospennato.
The spot, which carries the slogan "All together with the PRO," shows the three leaders of the group talking with residents and business owners. "We are the only team that guarantees more and better education, health, safety, and investment in public works," Lospennato states in one of the video images.
The leader, who seeks to strengthen her presence among the Buenos Aires electorate, differentiated herself from other candidates. “This is an election for legislators. But some want to scam people and aren't even interested in serving in that role. I want to be a city legislator,” she said, directly criticizing those who don't focus on legislative work.
Listening to you, I'm moved by your authenticity and preparation, combined with your great ability and the enormous commitment you have to the City and Argentina. Many Lospennatos are needed for Buenos Aires to continue growing. Congratulations @slospennato on your participation in the…

Lospennato's campaign is running parallel to the launch of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta 's new platform, "Volvamos Buenos Aires," through which he is also seeking a seat in the Legislature. Larreta left the PRO ( Project for the People's Party) and harshly criticized the Buenos Aires administration, pointing out that no public works have been completed since December and that the city "is dirty and smells of urine."
In the face of these accusations, Lospennato and government spokesperson Laura Alonso defended the current administration and Macri's legacy. After the final debate, the candidate emphasized the tone of her presentation: "We didn't engage in chicanery. We presented proposals and received support because we showed seriousness."
He also took aim at Kirchnerism: "In the City, PRO always beat them. Today it's clear who they are: Santoro's list, with La Cámpora and Grabois. We're going to beat them again," he stated.
With the explicit support of Mauricio Macri , Lospennato closed the week by expressing his gratitude for the trust he placed in him. "Thank you for showing that in the PRO party, we give opportunities to new generations. I am proudly PRO," he wrote on social media.
On May 18, the City will renew part of its Legislature. And for the Macri administration, maintaining its power in Buenos Aires is a strategic priority.
